Twelve days through Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Hiroshima and Kyoto in Japan's finest small group premium experience
Japan is one of the world's most rewarding travel destinations and this twelve-day premium journey covers its cultural heart from end to end. Beginning in Tokyo, the itinerary moves through Hakone in the shadow of Mount Fuji, the Edo-period mountain town of Takayama in the Japanese Alps, the UNESCO heritage site of Hiroshima and Miyajima Island, and ends in Kyoto with three full days in the ancient capital. Throughout, accommodation is at carefully selected 4-star hotels and ryokan (traditional Japanese inns). The group is small, the leader is experienced, and the inclusions go beyond the standard sightseeing list: a samurai experience in Tokyo, a traditional tea ceremony in Kyoto, an onsen soak in Hakone and a sake tasting in the Japanese Alps.
