Starting in Delhi, the route covers the essential Golden Triangle: the Taj Mahal at Agra and the Pink City of Jaipur. From there the itinerary turns east to Varanasi, Hinduism's holiest city, for a sunrise boat ride on the Ganges, a walk through the cremation ghats and an evening aarti ceremony on the riverfront. The crossing into Nepal at the Sunauli land border is a uniquely immersive experience, and the final days in Kathmandu deliver the full heritage circuit: Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and a morning at Nagarkot where the Himalayan panorama on clear days includes Everest.
