About this Package

Package Overview

Mera Peak at 6,476m is the highest trekking peak in Nepal and one of the most achievable high-altitude summits in the Himalayas. The approach from Lukla goes through the Hinku Valley, a remote and rarely trekked drainage that most visitors to the Khumbu never see. It passes through dense forest, river crossings and high moraine terrain before reaching the glaciated upper slopes of Mera. The summit view is widely considered the finest in Nepal, with five 8,000m peaks visible simultaneously: Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Kanchenjunga. Technically the route is non-technical with fixed ropes, but the altitude demands serious prior experience. This is the peak for experienced trekkers looking for their first genuine Himalayan summit.
